We developed the Samsung Galaxy Thrive as the first major app launch of our wellness platform to help you turn your phone off
THE PROBLEM
In our increasingly connected world, many of us find ourselves unable to adhere to healthy limits when it comes to social media and screen use. Children spend their hours with video games instead of nature, parents watch their little ones through the lens of a smartphone camera, and everywhere you go, you find people staring deeply into screens instead of connecting with the world around them.
The Thrive App is a way for us to set boundaries with our phones to connect more deeply with ourselves and others. The Thrive App was Thrive Global’s first major App launch in partnership with Samsung Galaxy.
I was responsible for the key app features, UI/UX system, and marketing collateral
MY RESPONSIBILITIES
During the early months of Thrive Global's company launch, I was presented with the opportunity to work on an exciting project as the sole product and design team member.
My responsibilities included defining the full user experience, visual design elements, and animations from login to the completion of the user journey. Working closely with the engineering team at Samsung, I was able to bring the features to life. In addition, I took charge of creating marketing assets, including emails, presentations, app store visuals, and stage collateral.
To bring my designs to fruition, I utilized Principle for animations, Figma for prototypes and designs, Illustrator for printed assets, and InDesign for printed collateral.
The Thrive App was featured in major press outlets such as Fortune and Mashable Magazine
We collaborated with Samsung to bring the app to market, and received high praise from users and industry experts for its innovative approach. After launch, we contributed to the growth and success of the app by regularly updating and improving the product based on direct user feedback.
