As a product designer, it's my job to design and develop digital products that are functional, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing. I conduct user research to understand the needs and goals of our target audience, prototype and test design concepts, create visual designs and user flows, and work closely with cross-functional teams to bring the product to market.

It's important for me to think creatively and critically to solve complex problems, and I need to be able to effectively communicate my ideas to various stakeholders. I have a strong understanding of design principles, user-centered design methodologies, and use the latest design tools and technologies through my experiences and continuing education. It's a challenging and rewarding field that lets me make a meaningful impact on the products and experiences that shape our world.

Over the past six years, I have played a pivotal role in the growth of Thrive Global from pre-launch to a nearly $1 Billion company. I am now eager to embark on my next adventure and am highly motivated to continue delivering top-quality work.

I don’t want to have all the ideas. I want to create a culture where everyone can
have ideas and feel valued.

I lean on user research to help inform my design decisions

Throughout my career, I have prioritized data-backed decision-making as a product designer and have taken a leadership role in conducting user research to inform the design of digital products. This has included utilizing various research methods, such as usability testing, user interviews, focus groups, and surveys, to gather insights into our users' needs, behaviors, and motivations. I have analyzed and synthesized these findings to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to the team. My research has consistently resulted in creating successful and user-centered products, and I have been recognized for my ability to incorporate user insights into the design process effectively.

I develop design systems to help teams work together more efficiently and effectively

I've had the pleasure of successfully driving the start and implementation of global design systems for various companies, including Thrive. My efforts have streamlined the design process and ensured brand consistency across all digital products. I've worked with cross-functional teams to define design principles, components, and guidelines and have provided ongoing support to ensure adherence to the design system.

Recently, I've developed and published a multi-platform product within the constraints of being limited to Material Design and MUI. My understanding of code and development has enabled me to effectively collaborate with engineering teams and deliver high-quality products. I'm proud to have contributed to the creation of a cohesive and efficient design process between designers and engineers.

I bring diverse perspectives together for a broader range of ideas and solutions

I enjoy facilitating and leading group brainstorming sessions. I am passionate about creating a collaborative and inclusive environment where all team members feel comfortable sharing their ideas and providing constructive feedback. My communication and problem-solving skills have helped me effectively guide the group towards finding innovative solutions to design challenges. It has been very rewarding to see the ideas and approaches generated in these sessions go on to inform the design of successful digital products.

I collaborate in real-time or asynchronously with remote teams all over the world
As we have transitioned to a remote work environment, it has become increasingly important to utilize innovative tools to facilitate effective collaboration and communication among team members located in various time zones. To ensure a smooth and efficient workflow, I have implemented the use of Figjam, Lucid, Excalidraw, Pitch, Loom, and chat for asynchronous collaboration. This enables my team to continue to be creative and productive despite the challenges of remote work.
I think coming together often is not only fun, but healthy
Collaboration is vital for maintaining the mental health and well-being of team members, as it helps to foster a sense of connection and support. To build trust and a positive work culture, I regularly engage in activities such as product critiques, one-on-ones, team coffee chats, and retrospectives. These practices can significantly contribute to a sense of fulfillment and enjoyment in one's work and colleagues.

I motivate users with science and I've learned from some of the top leaders in behavior-change

As a member of the Thrive team, I had the opportunity to collaborate with Stanford scientist and author B.J. Fogg, who helped me understand the science better behind motivational levers and considerations in user behavior.

I learned how crucial it is to provide users with a positive, rewarding experience in order to maintain their engagement. Additionally, the use of streaks as a motivator can be effective, but care must be taken to avoid overwhelming users with excessive demands or causing them to feel discouraged by too many missed opportunities.

I regularly use insights on cognitive biases and Gestalt principles to inform my approach to designing user journeys and interfaces.
